Silly supermarket purchases

Definitely need to re-purchase this silly little Cheesestrings treat which is definitely not for children. 


These are amazing- like a fancy choc ice.




Cookie crumble white chocolate magnum...what a treat.



Kinome at Quarter Horse

I blogged about the Kinome Japanese pop up  and how wonderful it was. I headed back for another round and it was even better: stunning fresh ingredients and lots of things I haven't tried before.



This isn't just any salmon and avocado mousse...

It's an M&S salmon and avocado mousse from their Valentines meal deal, with a ridiculous gold piece of salmon on top. It was really good.


Tacos

What is a month without tacos? I tried out the soft shell Chicken Tinga tacos from Old El Paso. The marinade for the chicken was nice and tangy, especially with the addition of pink slaw, avocado and Pip's Hot Sauce!


The Botanist

Musical Bingo at The Botanist gave me the opportunity to revisit their menu. I very much enjoyed picking at a deli board while taking part. I chose ham, roasted peppers, salmon and mackerel pate. The presentation of the pate in a flower pot caused much hilarity.


Yorks Brunch

Because what is a month without brunch at Yorks... During half term I went for Eggs Royale and white peony tea with my friend James (also ran into one of my work colleagues). What I love about the Eggs Royale here is that there's not too much hollandaise- just enough.

Can't wait for Yorks to open at Ikon gallery!


Damascena 

I've not been to the original Moseley branch but I'm completely in love with the new outpost in Birmingham. They sell a beautiful array of Middle Eastern-inspired food perfect for sharing. I've been twice in the space of a week for spiced tea, hummus and shwarma.


Brunch at Bardolino

A relaxed place to spend time in the morning. I had avocado smash with crispy pancetta. Great pancetta but the avocado could have done with some seasoning.


Nosh and Quaff

I will never fail to order chicken wings everytime I go to Nosh and Quaff. They're so good: crispy skin and the most beautiful hot-but-buttery sauce.
