Big(ish) Hair

Sunglasses: Urban Outfitters, T-Shirt: Topshop, Dress (under T-Shirt): H&M, Tights: Primark, Brogues: New Look
Whenever I get my hair cut, they coo over how straight my hair is and then ask if I want some 'movement' added. I say yes please! and leave the hairdressers with gorgeous wavy hair, only for it to fall out two hours later. The curse of poker straight hair.

This photo was taken a few hours after the hairdresser had done impressive things with GHDs so it doesn't look quite as cool as it did, but I still like the waves, my face looks different! I do need to practice doing this style on myself, the hairdresser made it look so easy.

It was a little too warm to be wearing black tights, but I couldn't find my knee high socks that I usually wear with these shoes! They are shiny lace-up brogues, but they don't photograph very well. More excitingly, I now own the high heeled brogues I wrote about here. Photos coming soon!

I love your hair in this shot, you look so happy and pretty. I WISH I had poker straight hair. My hair has way too much 'movement' of its own creation and its a nightmare to control.

I share your poker straight pain! My hair just hangs there with no movement whatsoever. If i try to curl or backcomb it falls out so quickly :( One day i will find a superduper volumising product :)

I love your top!

& I feel ya on the hair, I have to add so many layers so that it won't just hang there like a blanket. but it makes it hard for braiding, and I LOVE braids!

I too have poker straight hair and its always the way; you have straight you want curly, you have curly you want straight!
I love your hair in this piccie it looks fab. I've found that a good heat protection spray actually helps any style that I try to create with my GHDs stay in a bit better. x

I love your tee! Your hair looks lovely here (but it always does)! I hate coming out of the hairdressers because I have short hair but my hairdresser still seems intent on drying it with the massive round brush so it ends up looking like a big mushroom haha. As soon as I get home I have to try and flatten it, very silly!!

I think your hair turned out well even if it's not as wavy if you like. If only we had $1500 to spend on our hair every month like Kate Middleton...:)
